The other teenager that drowned on a North Carolin beach was also 17 years old. Near Kill Devil Hills a padddleboard (SUP), oar and ball cap was found washed up on shore soundside in Kitty Hawk Bay. A search for the missing paddleboarder was carried out but nothing was ever found. There were no reports of a missing person either. It is now thought that the paddleboard, oar and hat must have been blown out into the sound from a dock. Here is the picture of the paddleboard, oar and cap. If anyone recognizes the paddleboard please call the Kill Devil Hills Fire Department non-emergency line at 252-480-4060.
