The Outer Banks beach access ramps just got a new addition. A new ORV ramp has just opened at the Outer Banks. New Ramp 25 is open on the north end of Hatteras Island. The newest ramp is located off Highway 12 between Salvo and Avon. The nearby paved parking area is not ready and will not open when the ramp opens. The Park Service made the statement that the ramp was a priority before the paved parking lot. Ramp 25 opens just in time for the fall fishing season. This is a remote stretch of beach and should become a favorite Outer Banks beach access for ORV use.
