A Ride Thru Scenic Old Hatteras Village
A ride thru Old Hatteras Village with pictures in the afternoon. But first, there was blue skies and light winds this morning as we enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck. Breakfast at the cottage (a left over apple ugly with eggs and sausage). Then we headed out to Ramp 49 again, crossed over the ramp and we saw a fairly calm pretty blue ocean. Lots of cars on the beach. Picked a spot, backed up to the ocean, sat out our beach chairs and just soaked up the view. So relaxing! Did some shell hunting and played in the water. After a few hours we aired up the tires and headed back to the cottage.
Relaxed on the deck and rested from all the ocean wave action! Then we cleaned up and headed to Hatteras Village. Stopped by Risky Business for some Cajun Crab Dip- 2 containers-1 for lunch tomorrow and 1 to take home! Walked around Odens Dock but too late to see the catches from the boats. To Rocco’s for Lasagna. Then we rode thru Old Hatteras Village and took some neat pictures (see below). Then headed north back to Frisco.
More ice cream at Hatteras Sno-Balls. We love that place!
Back at the cottage we sat on the deck and watched the storm roll in across the sound, but it never did rain here. Another quiet night at the cottage getting my pictures ready to post here on the board. One more whole day left. We like to spend the last day at the cottage enjoying it and kayaking. May start with breakfast at Sonny’s and we need to return the rented bike. Plan a last supper out at the Captain’s Table in Buxton Saturday night. Another wonderful vacation on Hatteras Island. We are already talking about another week in late August or early Sept-yah hoo! We also rode thru the Frisco Campground and had a debate on buying a RV! Nice campground!
Quaint pictures from a ride thru Old Hatteras Village.
