Cape Point has been closed by the National Park Service to off-road vehicles due to a turtle nest that is about to hatch. The closure should only last about a week until the nest hatch. Pedestrian access remains open. Once the hatch happens the nest will be excavated so any remaining hatchlings
can emerge, then the protection fence will be removed and off-road vehicle access will be reopened.
