More than 100 bottlenose dolphins have washed up ashore dead in Virginia this summer. Now 16 dolphins have washed up dead on shore in North Carolina from Corolla to Avon on the Outer Banks. What is the cause for the large number of dolphin deaths is unknown. An intensive scientific inquiry is underway to find the reason for the dolphin deaths on the east coast.
