Man Jumps From Outer Banks Bridge

A man stopped his car at the top of the Washington Baum Bridge at the Outer Bank over the Roanoke Sound Tuesday morning, got out and jumped over the railing off the bridge and into the Roanoke Sound. The bridge connects Roanoke Island to the  Nags Head area of the Outer Banks and is 82 foot tall. Law officials were taken out to the man by a boater. The unidentified man was holding on to a bridge piling. He was taken to the Outer Banks Hospital. It was reported he was conscious and talking after the incident.
