Pre-nesting restrictions will be posted this weekend along beaches in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore North Carolina. The areas are based on recent breeding history of the shorebirds such as the famous piper plover.When breeding activity starts then buffers will be set up by the Park Service which means off-road vehicle routes will be restricted and many beaches closed except to pedestrians.
