Another rescue off Cape Hatteras by Elizabeth City Coast Guard. Two people on a sailboat off the coast of North Carolina had to call the Coast Guard after being caught in the low pressure system off the North Carolina coast this past weekend. The man and woman were were hoisted off the sailboat Saturday by a Coast Guard Helicopter from nearby Elizabeth City. It was reported that the couple were about 50 miles off the coast of Cape Hatteras and made the call because they were worried about weather conditions. Their names were not released, there was no report of injuries suffered by the couple. This past weekend a low pressure system was at the coast causing high winds, waves and heavy rain.
