Kitten Thrown From Bridge At OBX Gets New Life

Kitten Thrown From Bridge At OBX Rescued

A kitten thrown from bridge at the Outer Banks was rescued and given a new home. An adorable kitten that was thrown from a car on a bridge in Dare County at the Outer Banks was rescued and given a brand new life. Wednesday morning about 7:00am the kitten was thrown from a car off the Old Manns Harbor bridge near Manteo. Working just happened to be under that bridge working early that morning. The three DOT bridge inspectors noted something in the water trying to swim after they heard a noise. They went to see what it was and discovered a kitten struggling in the water of the Croatan Sound. The workers rescued the kitten and it now has a new home and family.

After a trip to the vet to make sure the kitten was OK one of the crew members adopted the cat. Now the kitten named “Bridger Catfish Newman” is safe and sound with a new family. The sad beginning to the story has a happy ending. To bad the workers didn’t get a look at the make and model of the car.

The story has been on Facebook and has been covered by multiple new agencies. “Bridger Catfish Newman” has become a media sensation.Hope with all the media attention the person that threw the poor kitten in the sound sees the story and feels terrible. What a secret they have to keep! If only that bridge had a camera!
